Laughter

This past weekend the family and I went to Palm Springs for a wedding. During one of our adventures out on the town, I eyed some beautiful blue tiled stairs and just HAD to take some snapshots. My daughter may need therapy later in life due to my obsessive picture taking habit. Sorry kiddo.

But seriously, I love those stairs.

L.O.V.E

"Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it."

First Grade Fever

Lilah started First Grade a few weeks back, so she's officially a BIG girl on campus. Do you hear my heart breaking at how fast she's growing up?

I decided that in honor of this milestone (and her sassy new attitude), she was due for a photo that captured it all.

Too cute for words. And here's a few pictures that are slightly more toned-down...

City of Surprise Dance Performance

This past Tuesday, Surprise had it's Summer Dance Performance at Willow Canyon High School. The tiny tot ballet classes were not only adorable, but quite humorous as well (don't tell them I said that!). Their attention span is short, and therefore, the dances had a few kiddos who forgot to... well, dance.

Isn't there something quite endearing about little tutu's and tiny slippers?

Okay, the story behind this next picture goes back to my earlier reference about short attention spans. The little girl on the left saw something interesting on the stage floor amidst her performance. My guess is that it was sparkly lint. Who wouldn't stop for such a fabulous find? She got down on hands and knees to inspect it, thus distracting all the other dancers. The audience giggled at the extreme CUTENESS of the whole spectacle.

I hope you guys are having a great week! On Sunday I'm flying out California to see the Conan O'Brien show. I have a comical crush on him, and so this trip is going to be quite exciting!! Pictures to come!

Musical Bliss

Lilah is SO passionate about music. I'm lucky if I can catch a beat for longer than 10 seconds, while she's already composed her own melodies. I'm pretty sure she's a prodigy child.

General Patton Museum

If you've ever driven from Arizona to Southern California (or vice versa) than you surely have passed the 'General Patton Museum'. It's located next to a gas station in the midst of nowhere. Literally.

My hubby has been itching to check this museum out, and since we drive to California all the time to visit family, I finally surrendered to his wish. We planned a trip that allotted us time to meander around the World War II historical site, and I must say it was pretty cool (Don't tell my husband I said that!).

I was able to snap some photos of my daughter infront of a vintage fire truck, which I adore!

Mini-Me Cheer Squad

"We need to find inspiration whenever we can, because when we're spiritually tuned in, everything is a clue pointing us in the right direction."- Sarah Ban Breathnach

Photos have the ability and magic to capture not only movement and color, but energy as well. I adore these photos of my daughter and her friend aspiring to be cheerleaders at my cousin's football game simply because I can FEEL the excitement happening all over again.
